Yeah that’s pretty much the entire feels from this day.
Sunday last we set out after 930 taking the train to Haeundae beach and arrived in time for those of us who hadn’t registered to do so… in fact there were plenty of registrations left.
We got our colours and t shirts and some pretty dashing hats and wandered to the middle of the crowd towards the front of the stage… I was certainly with the most energetic and entertaining group and photogenic as it turns out… there are many photos and YouTube videos of the shenanigans surfacing!
There were conga lines, crowd surfing, people tossing and Indian dance lessons for everyone and it was totally the best way to spend an afternoon with some pretty exceptional people. I will say however that it was an expensive affair with everything costing money, especially if you didn’t register prior to the event. Samosas were W5000 as were the T Shirts and registration was W10000… they were even charging for water early on.
I didn’t stay until the end as I was not feeling well but wished I could have stayed longer… this was probably one of the most fun things I have ever done and I can’t wait to go again when I visit India … or even to one closer to home.
Have you been to Holi?
