On June 29 myself and Mollie from Federation University Australia headed to Melbourne for the Australia Awards farewell ceremony, hosted by DFAT, attending as New Colombo Alumni. It was a great opportunity to see foreign exchange scholarships through DFAT from an inbound point of view.
The event was held at Myer Mural Hall and was a really beautiful day filled with some inspirational and motivational stories from those who were leaving our shores to go home with their new degrees.

One of the things I enjoyed the most about the day was getting to chat with some staff from the Department… It’s interesting when you are driven towards a goal, how it can so completely take your attention and push otherwise normal meet and greets into possible networking sessions.
Will see what comes from it all…
